Introducing DRIVEFLEX® HYDRO VFD Cables for Submersible Pump Applications

LUTZE is introducing DRIVEFLEX® HYDRO VFD cables, an innovative new cabling solution for VFDs in deep-well and other water system applications. As pumping applications increasingly adopt VFDs as a method to improve efficiency, LUTZE is committed to bringing its expertise in VFD cabling and installation to the pumping industry to address common cable and motor failures.
VFDs are used on pump motors for increased efficiency to allow for instant flow and pressure control resulting in increased water conservation and reduced energy consumption. Traditional pump cables are not designed for VFD applications and cannot withstand the electrical stress of VFD applications.
LUTZE DRIVEFLEX® HYDRO cables combine the proven XLPE insulation and an innovative water blocking separator tape for increased water ingress protection. The tape reduces the risk of water transmission and wicking through the cable when installed in wet and submerged environments.
DRIVEFLEX® HYDRO VFD cables are unshielded for reduced capacitance and currently available from 14AWG to 2AWG. Larger gauge sizes will be added in the future.
DRIVEFLEX® HYDRO cables are UL Listed Submersible Pump Cable, Type TC-ER and Flexible VFD Servo Cable. The robust PVC jacket ensures a long cable life in harsh pumping applications. These VFD cables expand LUTZE’s existing DRIVEFLEX® VFD cable line of industrial automation cables.
