LUTZE is seeking a dynamic and hands-on Human Resources Manager to lead and implement HR strategies across our three U.S. facilities: a manufacturing site in Massachusetts and distribution centers in North Carolina and Nevada. This onsite role, based in Massachusetts, will oversee all core HR functions, including talent acquisition, employee relations, compliance, performance management, and organizational development. The ideal candidate will serve as both a strategic partner and trusted advisor to leadership, helping shape HR initiatives that support business growth, while also managing the day-to-day HR operations. This role includes regular travel to the North Carolina facility and direct supervision of one HR Generalist.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead HR operations across all locations, ensuring consistency in policies, practices, and employee experience.
- Partner with the General Manager and leadership team to align HR initiatives with business goals and long-term strategy.
- Supervise and mentor the HR Generalist, providing guidance and support in daily HR functions.
- Develop and manage recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies to attract and retain top talent.
- Develop and manage compensation management, benefits administration, leave of absence programs, performance management and benchmarking strategies.
- Develop and implement training and development programs to support employee growth.
- Manage employee relations and resolve conflict.
- Manage various HR procedures and policies including the handbook for all company personnel; develop and implement these policies and procedures.
- Oversee payroll administration; electronic time clocks and reviewing timecard information for completeness and accuracy. Bi-weekly payroll with commission once a month
- Ensure proper administration of human resources information system records and compiles reports from the database; Creating, running, and analyzing reports related to headcount, compensation, benefits enrollment, workforce demographics, etc…
- Responsible for HR functions and procedures for both Lutze distribution locations and the DGC manufacturing location.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Champion a positive workplace culture that reflects the company’s values and mission.
- Regular travel to the NC facility to support HR needs and maintain strong employee engagement.
QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of progressive HR management experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Ability to work in a dynamic business environment, organize, prioritize, and complete tasks at own initiative with minimal supervision
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to travel regularly and as needed to the NC location.
- Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- SHRM or HRCI certification preferred.
